The Estate House, an elegant Edwardian home, is a pet friendly hotel located in the centre of Ford
Village, in the heart of Northumberland's "Secret Kingdom", between the A1 and
A697 and on cycle route 68. The tranquility of the setting is enhanced by the garden of about an
acre which is surrounded by magnificent mature trees and views towards the
Cheviots - the ideal retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The Estate House is ideally situated for a wide range of visitor attractions in
and around the Ford and Etal Estate. Activity based holidays are also well
catered for including fishing, horse riding, walking, cycling and gliding.
Coastal attractions such as Holy Island and Bamburgh are all very accessible as
are the Border towns.
The house itself offers spacious accommodation. There is a cosy residents
lounge with information about the area. There are three
bedrooms (two doubles and a twin) which are all en-suite. The rooms all
have colour televisions (with Freeview), tea and coffee making facilities, and
hair dryers. Our dining room overlooks the garden and it's easy to be
distracted by the wildlife which makes extensive use of the lawn!

Evening meals are available by arrangement and our breakfast menu caters for
a variety of tastes. We use as
much local, organic, and home grown produce as possible and packed lunches are
also available.
For the comfort and safety of all our guests, no smoking is permitted anywhere
in The Estate House. We have ample parking, a lock up garage for
cycles, and we are open all year round.
We also run the Heatherslaw Tearoom at Cornhill-on-Tweed.
Situated in the
old granary at Heatherslaw Mill, enjoy scones, snacks, sandwiches and light
lunches in relaxed and pleasant surroundings overlooking the River Till.
Families are welcome and high chairs are available.
